UPHOLSTERY COURSES

Steven, your tutor has 30 years experience in upholstery and has run a small successful business for the past 20 years. Having taught upholstery at the local technical college and high schools, he has become frustrated at the lack of facilities and overcrowded classes. This has led Brass Tacks to the development of private upholstery courses. These courses enable the student of any ability, to produce satisfying work, enjoyed in a well equipped, professional workshop.

The Upholstery Course

Class size, generally has a maximum of four students. For those wishing to organise their own private groups, extra dates, smaller groups or one to one tuition, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Classes run from 10am to 6pm. There is one hour break for a light lunch, which is provided. Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

You will need to bring your own item of furniture to work on. Alternatively we can supply quality frames, to purchase, by arrangement. Plenty of notice must be given to arrange this.

Restrictions may apply to the size of project, not only for our space requirements but to ensure that the student achieves a realistic goal. Please phone to discuss if you wish.

Fees

Full day is 10am to 6pm at £80 per person.

Fee is payable, with completed booking form, in full.

Payment by cheque to “Brass Tacks”.

Any material costs used in the course will be charged on the day, payment for this may be cash/card or cheque.

Cancellations

Fees are non-refundable, unless we can reallocate your place.

Course Dates

We are happy to book your own private parties at any time of the year, please enquire.

There will also be very limited space available for our only evening class. This will be every Wednesday evening during the months of March, April, May, Sept, Oct and November. Booking is essential.
